This policy explains what information Metabolic Healing ("we") collects at metabolic-healing.com and how we use it. We try to collect as little as possible.

Please don't send us health information

We do not want your personal health information. When you use our question form, please ask a general question and leave out your name, diagnoses, medications, test results, or other details about your health or anyone else's. If you include them anyway, we may delete them and will not use them to answer you personally.

What we collect

Newsletter (Ghost). Our site runs on Ghost. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your name. Ghost also records basic membership data, like when you signed up, and may record whether emails are opened or links are clicked.

Question form (Tally). Our Ask a Question form is run by Tally. It collects:

  • your question (required),
  • your first name (optional),
  • your email (optional, only if you want a reply or to hear if we answer it publicly),
  • a checkbox confirming you understand we give general information only.

Site visits. Like most websites, our hosting may log basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, pages visited). We use Ghost's built-in, privacy-friendly analytics.

Cookies. Ghost uses cookies needed to keep members signed in.

How we use it

  • To send the newsletter you asked for.
  • To read questions and possibly answer them, without identifying you, in a post or newsletter.
  • To reply by email if you gave us your email and asked for a reply.
  • To keep the site working and secure.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it for targeted advertising.

Who processes it for us

  • Ghost Foundation (website and newsletter hosting; email delivery may use providers such as Mailgun).
  • Tally (form submissions).
    These companies process data under their own privacy policies and terms.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Question submissions: We keep submitted questions for up to 12 months, then delete them.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe any time with the link in every email.
  • Ask us to see, correct or delete your data: through our Ask a Question page.
  • Depending on where you live (for example California, or the EU/UK), you may have more rights.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13 (or under 16 in some places), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top and, for big changes, tell newsletter subscribers.
